• Congratulations to the West Salem Wind Ensemble for their 1st place finish in sight-reading and 1st place overall at the 2025 Central Valley Conference League Band Contest. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Jazz Band for receiving Superior Ratings at the McKay Jazz Festival. Outstanding Section: Trombones. Outstanding Player: Evelyn Barnes

• Congratulations to the West Salem Marching Band for placing 1st in the 3A division at the 2024 NWAPA Season Championships, winning High Percussion, High Music, High Visual, and General Effect. West Salem placed 3rd overall in Finals. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Wind Ensemble for winning the 2024 OSAA 6A State Band Championship. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Symphony Orchestra for placing 2nd at the 2024 OSAA Symphony Orchestra State Championships. 

• Congratulations to all of the performing and placing students and ensembles at the OMEA State Chamber Ensemble Championships on April 26 and the OSAA State Solo Music Championships on April 27. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Symphony Orchestra for qualifying for state at the 2024 SK Orchestra Invitational!

• Congratulations to the West Salem Wind Ensemble for winning their 2024 league wind ensemble contest and also placing first in sight-reading.

• Congratulations to the West Salem Marching Band for placing 1st in the 3A division at the NWAPA Season Championships during Prelims, also winning High Auxiliary, High Percussion, High Music, High Visual, and General Effect. West Salem placed 5th overall in finals. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Wind Ensemble for winning the 2023 OSAA 6A State Band Championship. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Symphony Orchestra for winning the 2023 OSAA Symphony Orchestra State Championship. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem 2023 OSAA Solo Music Champions and award winning soloists. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem 2023 OMEA State Chamber Ensemble Champions and award winning chamber ensembles. 

• Congratulations to the 2022 West Salem Marching Band for their 3A Class Championship, also winning High Music and High General Effect. In finals, West Salem finished 2nd place overall.

• Congratulations to the West Salem Wind Ensemble for placing first at the 2022 OSAA 6A State Band Championships. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Jazz Ensemble for placing second at the 2022 OMEA State Jazz Ensemble Championships. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Jazz Band for placing first at the 2022 Mountain Valley League Jazz Band Contest. They also placed second at the Pleasant Hill Jazz Festival and the Mt. Hood Jazz Festival! 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Wind Ensemble for placing first at the 2022 Mountain Valley League Band Contest and also winning best sight-reading. 

• Congratulations to the students for their outstanding performances at the OMEA District 4 Solo and Chamber Ensemble Contest.  The following students and ensembles have qualified for the State Solo and Chamber Ensemble Championships: Andrew Bryson, Gary Hickam, Jacob Hodges, Isaiah Hoeft, Lauren Huber, Evan Jackson, Caeden Leach, Waleed Nahedh, Nicholas Peterson-Hunt, Etai Pool, The Percussion Ensemble, The Trumpet Quintet, The Saxophone Ensemble, The Clarinet Sextet, The Trumpet Duet, The Low Brass Duet, The Low Saxophone Quartet, and the Flute Quartet. Congrats!

• Congratulations to the West Salem Advanced Band for receiving state qualifying scores at the 2022 Salem-Keizer Intermediate Band Festival. 

• Congratulations to the West Salem Wind Ensemble for receiving 3 state qualifying scores at the 2022 Oregon State University Concert Band Festival. 

• Congratulations to the Marching Band for winning the 2021 NWAPA 3A Championship!
